With headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, Slipknot has been entertaining adoring fans for more than ten years with their alternative metal, heavy metal, nu metal and rapcore albums and singles. The group, currently on break, is already attracting a following with her since the rather extreme musical and performance style since 1995.

Consisting of nine members, Slipknot has produced most of their music under the Roadrunner label since 1997. Slipknot's work also has a number of major film soundtracks, among them appeared "Rollerball" (I Am Hated), "Resident Evil" (My Plague), "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" (Vermillion), "Scream 3" (Wait and Bleed ) and "Freddy vs. Jason" (Snap). Over the years the band has a couple of DVDs, has reached a multiple-platinum status, selling release. "Welcome To Our Neighborhood" (1999), "Disaster Pieces" (2002) and "Voliminal: Inside The Nine" (2006) has become popular allDVD selection.
Overall, the band appeared on a variety of major national and international tours such as Ozzfest and various events in Stockholm and in Japan. The group easily reached the level of the Grammy award status, as were the nominations for Best Metal Performance and Best Hard Rock Performance in three of four singles from their albums given. In 2006 they returned to their homeland prior to the first Grammy.
